Sahara Club Pokhara Nepal , was the next beneficiary of SAFF’s Football Development Program ‘Play Time’. SAFF General Secretary Anwarul Huq donated 40 footballs to Sahara Club President Keshav Raj Baral and Shanti KC, the founding member of the club, during the finals of the SAFF U-16 Women’s Championship 2024 held in Nepal from 1-10 March.
The club is a social welfare organization established in 1998. It works to enhance the standard of Nepalese football by running a social football academy in Pokhara. The academy assembles street boys and orphans from different districts of Nepal.
So far, five member associations have been the beneficiary of SAFF’s Football Development Program #PlayTime. In addition, different NGOs working for the welfare of youth in different countries through the medium of football have benefitted from the program.
